Central School of Ballet is looking for its next cohort of versatile, ambitious dancers. Students who train at Central are embarking upon the beginning of their professional journey.
Central offers a vocational classical ballet training, enriched by contemporary dance and a range of other genres. Students develop their technique, artistry and performance in the two-year Foundation Degree. Upon successful completion, students then develop their performance skills and professionalism through the one year BA(Hons) Top-Up Degree and the Ballet Central tour, leaving Central as employable dancers who can create and maintain sustainable performance careers.
Applications are now open for Central School of Ballet’s Foundation and BA(Hons) Top-Up Degrees in Professional Dance and Performance.
Application to the School is via in-person or video audition. Central welcomes applications from all dancers who will be aged 16 or over by 1 September 2027, and from both UK and international applicants.
Central graduates leave the School ready to forge careers in the UK and around the world. Recent graduates have secured performance contracts with UK companies such as Northern Ballet, Scottish Ballet, English National Ballet and London City Ballet, as well as international companies such as Ballet de Barcelona, K Ballet Tokyo, Milwaukee Ballet II and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Junior Company.
