On October 28, 2010, Pavilion Dance South West officially opened its seaside home in Bournemouth, with HRH The Earl of Wessex (Prince Edward) cutting the ribbon on the newly refurbished theatre and contemporary dance studios. Since that landmark day, Pavilion Dance South West has welcomed thousands of guests, artists, dancers, and community members through its doors, onto its terraces, and into local neighborhoods. Rooted in a vision to make a difference through dance, the organization’s mission remains as vital as ever—transforming lives and communities through movement, both within its venue and across the wider Bournemouth area.

Victor Fung, Artistic Director & Joint CEO, Pavilion Dance South West says: “Since moving into our historic seafront building in Bournemouth fifteen years ago, our creative hub has been home to our dancing communities including professional artists, audience members, class participants and many others. We pride ourselves in being the kind and inclusive organisation that we are whilst delivering some of the most innovative and empowering dance experiences for everyone. On this momentous occasion, I’d like to say a huge thank you for everyone who has been part of our journey. With your support, we will continue to transform communities through dance.”

To mark this major milestone and express heartfelt thanks to its loyal communities, Pavilion Dance South West is launching an unmissable promotion: £5 theatre tickets for all Spring 2026 shows when booked throughout November 2025. The discount will apply automatically at checkout.

This special deal covers every adult and family show in our vibrant Spring 2026 lineup at the main Ocean Theatre, running from February to July.
