icandance, the leading inclusive dance charity empowering disabled children and young people through movement, and the prestigious vocational school, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, have unveiled a groundbreaking collaboration set to redefine opportunities within inclusive arts education.
Rooted in shared values of creativity, inclusion, and excellence, this partnership will create unique platforms where disabled and nondisabled young performers learn, grow, and celebrate the transformative power of dance together. The initiative includes joint workshops, artist development programmes, and co-created performance opportunities designed to cultivate empathy, imagination, and artistic confidence.

“This partnership is a celebration of what’s possible when education and inclusion come together to elevate young people in the performing arts,” explains Juliet Diener, Founder and Artistic Director of icandance. “Together with Tring Park, we’re creating space for connection, belonging, bold artistic expression and changing perspectives.”
Tring Park School, renowned for nurturing some of the UK’s most gifted young performers, echoes this sentiment. “Collaborating with icandance brings richness to our school community,” said Director of Dance Lorraine Jones. “It allows our students to develop as artists and allies – learning from the beautiful diversity of human movement and expression and understanding what dance really brings to the world.”

The collaboration is already in motion with a series of events planned for the upcoming academic year. This marks a significant step forward in ensuring disabled artists are celebrated and empowered from the classroom to the stage.
The film Our Story is now available to view on YouTube, and marks the beginning of a deeper partnership between icandance and Tring Park School, with future projects already in development. For more information on the partnership, contact info@icandance.org.uk.
