London City Ballet announces 2025 season

London City Ballet’s Artistic Director Christopher Marney has announced the company’s initial plans for the 2025 season. As well as a UK, European and North American tour which will be announced in due course, the company will perform its new programme of work at Sadler’s Wells Theatre on 13 and 14 September. Tickets for the performances at Sadler’s Wells Theatre will go on general public sale on 5 February from www.sadlerswells.com.

This year, the programme will feature three new UK premieres, including the UK and European premiere of George Balanchine’s work Haieff Divertimento, as well as new work from Paris Opera Ballet’s Florent Melac and rising choreographic star Tasha Chu who is embarking on a two-year partnership with London City Ballet during which Chu will create new works on the company.

In addition, New York City Ballet Artist-in-Residence Alexei Ratmansky will work in person with the company to recreate his 2014 ballet Pictures At An Exhibition, and the company will revive Liam Scarlett’s acclaimed work Consolations and Liebstraum. For the second year, international star Alina Cojocaru will join the company as Guest Artist. The full tour will be announced soon.
