Jonathan Church Theatre Productions, Chichester Festival Theatre, Stage Entertainment and Sheffield Theatres have announced that the acclaimed production of Singin’ in the Rain will embark on a UK and Ireland tour in 2027.
Following a Christmas season at Sheffield Theatres’ Crucible Theatre from 26 November 2026 – 16 January 2027, the tour will open at Churchill Theatre, Bromley from 28 January – 6 February 2027. The production will also return to Sadler’s Wells from 2 June – 3 July 2027 as part of its UK and Ireland tour.
The tour will visit venues across the UK and Ireland, including Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Southampton, Cardiff and Salford, before concluding in September 2027. Casting for the tour will be announced soon.

Journey back to the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age with Singin’ in the Rain, featuring high-energy choreography, sumptuous set designs and a spectacular on-stage rain sequence. Combining romance, comedy and unforgettable music, the production brings the beloved MGM musical to life.
Set during the transition from silent films to “talkies,” the story follows Hollywood stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont as their world is turned upside down when an aspiring actress is brought in to help navigate the changing film industry.
Featuring the iconic MGM score, Singin’ in the Rain includes much-loved songs such as “Good Morning,” “Make ‘Em Laugh” and the legendary title number “Singin’ in the Rain.”
Directed by Jonathan Church, the production features choreography by Andrew Wright, additional choreography by Jayne Elster, set and costume design by Simon Higlett, lighting design by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Gareth Owen, video design by Ian Galloway, musical supervision by Robert Scott and orchestration by Larry Blank.
