The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) will host a series of free dance workshops on Sunday 8 March 2026 at its London headquarters, as part of the nationwide Let’s Dance initiative led by Angela Rippon. The event aims to inspire individuals of all ages and abilities to engage in dance and experience its physical and mental health benefits.
This day of dance includes sessions for various age groups, starting with Family Dance Movement for young children and concluding with dance classes including musical theatre for adults.
Let’s Dance is a national campaign founded by Angela Rippon CBE, supported by organisations across the UK. The initiative seeks to encourage people across the UK to embrace dance as a means to improve health, connect with others and have fun.
“We’re delighted to be participating in the nationwide initiative Let’s Dance 2026, spearheaded by our very own Silver Swans ambassador Angela Rippon. Each day hundreds of RAD dance classes take place across the country, taught by RAD dance teachers who exemplify our mission to inspire the world to dance. We have a full day of dance classes planned as part of Let’s Dance 2026 and are excited to welcome communities to our headquarters in Wandsworth for this wonderful celebration of dance.” – Alexander Campbell, Artistic Director of the RAD.
As well as workshops, on Saturday 7 March the RAD’s Silver Swans will perform at dance organisation The Place’s Seasoned, an uplifting mixed bill of brand-new works performed by older dancers whose creativity has been shaped by a lifelong relationship with movement.
The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations, dedicated to promoting and enhancing the knowledge, understanding and practice of dance internationally.
