London City Ballet will embark on a 20-venue UK and European tour starting this June, including London seasons at Sadler’s Wells Theatre and the company’s first season at the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House as part of The Royal Ballet and Opera’s 2025/26 season. The company will be touring to eight UK venues, plus internationally in Spain, Portugal, Greece and an eight-venue tour of France.
For Sadler’s Wells and the UK tour, the company will present Alexei Ratmansky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, George Balanchine’s Haieff Divertimento, Liam Scarlett’s Consolations & Lieberstraum, and a new creation by Florent Melac. The inaugural season at the Linbury will see the revival and London premiere of Jerome Robbins’ 1986 work Quiet City and will showcase a brand new work by British rising star choreographer Tasha Chu.
Last year in London City Ballet’s first season back after 30 years, it was a UK Theatre Awards nominee for ‘Achievement in Dance’ and DanceEurope’s Critics Choice for Best Company, New Name to Watch, Best Director and Best Revival for Kenneth MacMillan’s Ballade.
This year, Alina Cojocaru will return as Guest Artist, performing at Sadler’s Wells, Bath Theatre Royal, Birmingham Rep and Oxford New Theatre.
