The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals, a spectacular show featuring performances from some of the West End’s top attractions, will return to Manchester’s AO Arena on 22 January 2024.

Hosted once again by comedian Jason Manford, this incredible night of entertainment highlights everything that’s great about big stage musicals. This time around, there will be performances from shows such as Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, A Chorus Line, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, GREASE – UK and Ireland tour, Hadestown, Guys & Dolls and many more.

The show will be aired on BBC One, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds at a later date.

Twelve thousand tickets were made available on a first-come, first-served basis in late November. National Lottery players were able to reserve up to four free tickets with proof of purchase of a National Lottery product. All of the free tickets were quickly allocated.

Over the past 12 months, more than €517m has been granted to arts projects across the nation, with €46m of this going directly to theatre-related projects. Since 1994, The National Lottery has contributed more than €7.8 billion to the UK’s arts industry.

For the 2024 Big Night of Musicals, Manford will be joined by West End legend Beverley Knight, whose stage credits include The Bodyguard, Sylvia, Cats, Memphis and Sister Act. Knight will be performing one of her classic numbers and helping surprise some National Lottery heroes.

The full lineup for The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals will be announced soon.
